History

I began sewing at 9 years old and by the time I was in middle school I was deconstructing pleated plaid skirts and making them into mod mini skirts. My formal training is in dressmaking and tailoring which I parlayed into a career of over 20  years in the industrial fabric industry. I’ve studied techniques used from making wedding dress to giant circus tent. Today I use t-shirts, skirts, table linens, dish towels and fabric left overs to make my one of a kind aprons which are pieces of wearable art. These fabric collages are part textile design, part fashion design and part graphic design. My aprons give a nod to good food, good drink and good fun.
